George Elliott began as a freelance animation artist in 1984, working for Nelvana and a variety of Canadian and US based animation studios. By the late 1980s he had created a successful home based studio in Brampton, Ontario.

In 1997, due to increased client demand, George created, Pictor Entertainment a small independent studio in Toronto with a staff of 15. Pictor would expand past its core creative staff to as many as 100 full time and freelance animation artists.

In 2000, George Elliott re-branded as Elliott Animation Inc., for 2D, 3D (CGI) and Flash productions expanding to over 100 employees.
