Total Drama Island

Beth from Total Drama Island

Born and raised on a farm, Beth is a sweet girl who, unfortunately, is a little clueless when it comes to social skills.

She definitely means well but her attempts to make connections with other people are usually clumsy and, sometimes, embarrassing. Sadly, her naivety also makes her an easy target for manipulative people.

Peel back all that awkwardness, however, and you’ll find a very caring and trustworthy person.

Beth auditioned for Total Drama Island in hopes of being a big star, so that fame and friends would undoubtedly follow.

Cody from Total Drama Island

Cody is a book smart geek who fancies himself a “cool kid” and suave, ladies’ man. Sadly, his assumptions couldn’t be further from the truth.

He has a near-endless supply of smooth pick-up lines (well, he thinks that they’re smooth) that only serve to irritate and creep out the girls who hear them.

He’s not a bad kid by any means but simply tries way too hard to be something he’s not. He isn’t terribly impressive on the physical end of things, either- a shortcoming made worse by an exhaustively long list of allergies (mostly involving insect bites).

Cody hopes to hang with the other cool kids during his time on Total Drama Island and figures that the show will catapult him into super-stardom.

Gwen from Total Drama Island- Elliott Animation, Toronto

Gwen is a goth girl and loner by choice.

She’s very smart, practical and has little patience for nonsense. She tends to be vocal with her complaints and, combined with her habit of being socially-withdrawn, gives off an aura of “Seriously. Just stay away”.

Truth is, Gwen secretly wishes that she could belong in the “popular crowd” but keeps everyone at a distance because she worries that it might compromise what she stands for.

She adores horror movies but, despite a love for all things spooky and scary, she has a crippling fear of enclosed spaces.

Truthfully, Gwen wishes that she never auditioned for Total Drama Island in the first place. She did it on a dare (to humour her brother) because she never thought they’d pick her. But now that she’s been cast, she figures she might as well make the most of it.

Heather from Total Drama Island- Elliott Animation, Toronto

Heather has it all - looks, brains, talent - she could go on and on, but why talk about something that is so obvious!

She is a winner at everything and can do anything she sets her mind to because she doesn’t have to worry about pesky things like morals, ethics or scruples getting in the way.

Heather tends to see others as something to be used (and/or abused) in order to get what she wants. She has no problem manipulating people into doing her bidding and can really pour on the fake charm if the situation calls for it. Her credo is “Why put off until tomorrow what someone else can do for you today?”

Her only purpose on Total Drama Island is win the big cash prize. Making friends, having fun and character-building are just annoying obstacles in the way of that goal.

Izzy has been described by those who know her as a "wingnut", a "psycho hosebeast" and "some kind of crazy"

Being around her is like being on a roller coaster- one that hasn’t been inspected for safety.  There’s no rhyme or reason to what Izzy does… at least, to everyone other than Izzy. She has the energy level of a coffee-laden monkey and all the tact of a crazed rhinoceros. Her chaotic nature has even earned her the eighth spot on the RCMP’s “Most Wanted” list but the reasons for that have yet to be revealed (Izzy has an explanation but who knows if it’s remotely true).

Despite her general weirdness, she is actually capable of concern and even affection (that is, in her own bizarre way).

Izzy decided to participate on Total Drama Island because... well, nobody really knows. It’s a mystery as to how she even managed to get past the initial auditions.

Justin from Total Drama Island

From the moment Justin was born, he was a vision of loveliness. He was a test tube baby and his mother paid handsomely for that test tube. Justin has always been a looker.

Truly, Justin is more than a pretty face. He also has washboard abs. People just feel compelled to give Justin stuff for free so he doesn’t have to work for a living like other mortals.

Not surprisingly, all of that lavished attention has given Justin a bit of an unhealthy vanity. He has no problem with avoiding work or manipulating people into doing his bidding, as long as it insures that his looks remain untarnished.

No one knows why Justin auditioned for Total Drama Island, and no one really cares... they are just soooo glad he did.

Leshawna from Total Drama Island

Leshawna is one booty-liscious shortie! She is large, in charge and as street smart as they come.

She has no fear of confronting a problem head-on and has little patience for troublemakers or people who make the mistake of getting up her grill. Leshawna’s the kind of gal that tells it like is… right to your face! She absolutely loves to dance, which would be less of an issue if her skill level came even remotely close to her enthusiasm.

But underneath all that attitude and bravado lurks a heart of gold, which is why Leshawna auditioned for Total Drama Island. She wanted to be a role model for kids on the street and show that anyone can win if they give it their all.

Lindsay from Total Drama Island- Elliott Animation, Toronto

Lindsay is proof that life is easier when you’re drop dead gorgeous, but to be fair, mother nature balanced things by making her as sharp as a frosted cupcake.

Her hobbies include primping, preening, plucking and posing in any nearby mirror to make sure she’s still stunning. Lindsay also loves to chat on the phone, online, or to whoever will listen. Generally speaking, anything that isn’t too demanding for her brain.

People who get to know her admit that Lindsay’s not just pretty – she’s pretty nice too (like a can of soda, sugary sweet and effervescent).

Usually Lindsay doesn’t like things like ‘work’, or ‘dirt’, or ‘working in the dirt’, but when she found out about the auditions for Total Drama Island she couldn’t resist being on TV.

Owen from Total Drama Island- Elliott Animation, Toronto
Embedded thumbnail for Owen

Owen's one big, lovable tub of fun. He may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he has more pure optimism than an arena full of hockey fans during the playoffs. If there's one thing that Owen likes more than anything else, it's his own smells and sounds. He really gets fired up about the things that come out of his own body. (Let’s just say it's safest to keep him away from open flames after a bean chilli cookout.)

Regardless of his faults (and there are many) Owen’s got a lot of heart. He doesn't care who you are, if you like to have fun then he’ll be your best bud. Owen’s friends know him as “The-guy-who-will-do-anything-on-a-dare-especially-if-his-reward-is-all-you-can-eat-pancakes”.

Owen auditioned for Total Drama Island because summer camp is just about the funnest place in the whole wide world - there are babes in bikinis, free food three times a day and your farts can echo right across the lake! Awesome!

Noah from Total Drama Island- Elliott Animation, Toronto

While he’s not much to speak of in terms of physical prowess, Noah’s brain is as sharp as a tack; it explains why being critical and sarcastic is so easy for him.

He may have an active mind, but he sure likes to sit; he includes that as one of his favourite hobbies. Noah is aware that he’ll probably take a lot of heat for being the egghead nerd of the group, so he intends to beat them to the punch by unleashing an arsenal of digs and put-downs.

Interestingly, he’s kind of fearless when it comes to his insults. Everyone and anyone is fair game, which occasionally backfires when Noah aims his dry wit at somebody capable of demolishing him.

Noah signed up to compete on Total Drama Island because he figured his high intelligence would pretty much guarantee a victory.

Trent from Total Drama Island- Elliott Animation, Toronto

Trent is the kind of guy that gets the girls and has other guys admiring him for it. He’s just too likeable to hate. His guitar and skateboard skills seal his status as one cool compadre.

Trent has never gone out of his way to ‘get’ people to like him (it just turns out that way). He’d rather just chill and get a good view of everything that’s going on in the world. He’s also a straight shooter, who tells it like it is. He would never say he’s ‘the cool guy’ (He doesn’t have to – everybody says it for him).

Trent loves motorcycles and can’t wait to buy his own set of wheels so he can convert it into a chopper – just as soon as he gets his hands on some ‘scratch’.Eventually, Trent’s goal is to have his own bike shop where he can build super-cool choppers that are world renowned.

Trent auditioned for Total Drama Island because it sounded like a cool way to spend the summer and hey- $100,000 would make a nice down payment for that dream motorbike.

Bridgette from Total Drama

Bridgette was surfing before she could walk and when she walks, the other surfers can’t help but check her out.  She may be pretty as a daisy, but Bridgette’s only coordinated on the waves.  On land, she's kind of klutzy.

Bridgette’s strongest attributes are her sense of humour and her creativity.  She’s a pretty laid back, go-with-the-flow kind of girl, who’s best friend is her mom. They both love flowers, crystals and everything else that is part of Earth's beautiful bounty.

Bridgette’s goal in life is to keep the vibe flowing in a goodly way. She subscribes to a vegetarian lifestyle and loves animals… even the scary and icky ones!

Bridgette hopes her time on Total Drama Island will spread the message of cosmic love and body surfing to a larger audience.

Courtney from Total Drama Island

Courtney is very excited to be a part of Total Drama Island. She thinks it’s the perfect stepping-stone on her path to greatness. She’s a huge fan of competition.

Courtney has immense respect for anyone in authority; parents, teachers, the local Crossing Guard. In turn, they all think she's a very sweet girl. She puts on a good face, after all.

Courtney also prides herself on politeness and courtesy, because you never know who you’ll meet on the way up the ladder of success, and Courtney plans to reach the top! While she feels strongly that we need rules in society for it to run smoothly, she also believes that sometimes you have to break those rules in order to get things done (or win).

This theory is most evident in Courtney’s bedroom which is covered in trophies, ribbons and plaques.  She’s never lost anything in her life.  Her motto is: “If you can’t come in first, don’t come at all.”  This is why she auditioned for Total Drama Island.  Courtney feels that the island is like a smaller version of the real world.  If she can win there, then it proves she can win in life, which she already has, so she’ll definitely win there – but still, she’d like the $100,000 to prove it.

DJ from Total Drama Island- Elliott Animation, Toronto

DJ may look intimidating but beneath his impressive physical stature lurks the heart of a marshmallow.

He’s a big, compassionate lug who only wants to get along with everyone. DJ loves animals, although that affection isn’t always reciprocated. He's also a good friend and the kind of guy you want on your team.

DJ is a bit (and by ‘bit’, we mean ‘a lot’) of a “Momma’s Boy” and will happily go along with any wish or opinion she has without question. It is thanks to her, however, that DJ sports some seriously amazing cooking skills.

Now that he's onboard, DJ wants to use the show as an opportunity to show everyone how he was raised right!

Duncan from Total Drama Island

Duncan's been getting into trouble since he could get his hands on anything that wasn't his.  He bounced from school to school, racking up suspensions and expulsions -- and this was all pre-kindergarten!  Yeah, Duncan is one tough customer.

He also has street smarts and isn't afraid to use them. If you spend enough time around Duncan, you’ll probably end up as the target of a prank. Or ridicule. Or both. He’s not afraid to speak his mind and never backs down from a fight.

However, despite his cocky nature, social workers who have counseled Duncan will tell you that under all that bravado lies a misguided youth with a big, gooey heart.

When Duncan isn't incarcerated or at a Parole Officer's appointment he looks for ways to curb his boredom - like signing up for Total Drama Island.  Duncan figured it couldn't be much worse than 'the yard’ at The Detention Centre, and who knows, it could be fun to mess with some heads.  It's not like he's doing anything else this summer.

Eva from Total Drama Island

To call Eva ‘aggressive' is a bit of an understatement. She has a serious competitive streak that seems to be fueled by anger.

You’d never want to find yourself on Eva’s bad side- the girl can hold a grudge for a staggeringly long time.

She works hard at everything she does, but admits that her temper sometimes gets in the way.  She has no time for phonies, poseurs, fakes, cheaters or liars!  If she spots one, you can bet she’s gonna set them straight.

Eva joined Total Drama Island because she thinks it's the perfect opportunity to test her athletic skills and make some friends since she “gets along with everyone” (her words)- if anyone doesn't think so, then maybe they'd like to step outside so she can rearrange their thinking for them!!

Geoff from Total Drama Island- Elliott Animation, Toronto

Geoff has chillaxin’, party-hearty DNA in his blood.

His goal is to take a bite out of life and chew it until there’s nothing left but seeds that he can scatter into the wind to start the whole party cycle of life all over again.  His eventual plan is to be a party organizer.

Even tough he usually hangs with the cool crowd, he’s no snob.  Geoff will party with anybody who’s interested in partying.   He likes everybody for whatever it is that they can bring to the table (or party).

Geoff enjoys spending time at the beach, camping, or anywhere else a party could be had.  That’s why Geoff auditioned for Total Drama Island, because it basically includes all his favourite things ...  people, camping and parties.

Harold from Total Drama Island- Elliott Animation, Toronto
Embedded thumbnail for Harold

Harold is … odd. Odd in appearance with a head full of odd knowledge and usually the “odd man out” in a group.

At least he’s not some lemming like everybody else. His classmates call him dorky, but he’s confident that won’t be the case on Total Drama Island. Hidden in that “bike rack” he calls a body, he’s got some unexpected wicked skills that will come in very handy in the woods.  His love of medieval fantasy literature and intense scout training makes him the guy to have on your team.

Harold believes in believing in yourself - no matter what people say about you, or what they’re throwing at you, you’ve got to stay strong.

Since he is pure of heart and strong of will, this noble warrior will go far (he has to, because he’s already embroidered a Possum Scouts badge that says so).

Katie from Total Drama Island- Elliott Animation, Toronto

Katie was raised in the small town with Sadie.  Actually, if you want to know anything about Katie, just see Sadie's bio.  They know absolutely everything about each other.  And why not?  They’re practically the same person.

Katie thinks that the experience on Total Drama Island is going to be great for both of them.  It’ll really bring them closer together as friends, although it’s hard to imagine how that’s humanly possible since they already do EVERYTHING together.

While Katie thinks with her heart, Sadie thinks with her head. Together, they complete each other.  If Katie starts a sentence, Sadie is sure to finish.  They love all the same things, including each other.

Katie and her best pal Sadie love to stay positive and are too busy being creative to let anything bother them.  And thank goodness, because if it did, their sweet little hearts couldn’t take it.

Sadie from Total Drama Island- Elliott Animation, Toronto

Sadie can’t believe she was selected for Total Drama Island.  She’s never been a part of anything cool – ever!

Being raised in a small town, Sadie’s never done anything too exciting either.  The only thing that Sadie gets totally excited about is hanging out with Katie, her best friend in the whole world (wait... make that whole, wide universe!)

So when Sadie heard that Katie wanted to audition for Total Drama Island, Sadie wanted to audition with her.  There was no way she was going to miss out on something that her best friend (wait... make that BFF! ... no, BFF in the whole wide universe, squared!), was going to be a part of.  Because if Katie got picked she’d be gone all summer and there was no way Sadie could have survived that long without her!

So now Sadie can't wait to start their adventure!  This is going to be the bestest summer ever, with her bestest friend, in the bestest universe, ever!

Ezekiel from Total Drama Island- Elliott Animation, Toronto

Ezekiel is really really REALLY excited to be on Total Drama Island.  He doesn’t usually get a chance to hang out with real, live kids.  (He's used to the 3D ones he sees on TV).  That’s because his parents (both Home Ec. teachers) think that it’s best for their child to, “only be exposed to the finest sorts of people, and receive the highest standard of education.”  That’s why Ezekiel’s home-schooled.

The only reason Ezekiel’s parents signed him up for Total Drama Island is because their family doctor was concerned about his Vitamin-D deficiency, so they were instructed to get him out of the house and into fresh air.   Now he has to learn to be around other kids for the first time in his life.  He’s looking forward to this experiment (an experiment with a socially useless guinea pig).

While Ezekiel may excel at every subject in home-schooling, only time will tell if he can handle the curriculum at Total Drama Island’s ‘School of Hard Knocks’.

Tyler from Total Drama Island- Elliott Animation, Toronto

Tyler loves sports.  He considers himself a pro-level player in hockey, football, basketball, tennis, golf, cricket, handball, shuffleboard, badminton, bocce ball, horseshoes, thumb wrestling and a few more he couldn’t think of off hand.  Unfortunately, reality has a vastly different opinion of his actual ability.

Tyler is competitive, but prides himself on his friendliness, too.  When he’s not throwing a ball back and forth, he can be found hanging out with his many friends.

Tyler is stoked to be a part of Total Drama Island.  He loves the fact that there will be a variety of wild challenges to test his skills, so he’s psyched!

While he may never be a real pro, he always looks the part: Tyler is always outfitted in a track suit and running shoes to maximize his performance!

Chris - The Host

Chris - The Host

Chris McLean is Total Drama's narcissistic host. Chris loves being host but doesn't care much for the contestants or abiding by the law. Chris was recently released from prison after serving his sentence for illegally dumping toxic waste. In his free time, he enjoys long walks on his private beach and laughing at others in pain.

Embedded thumbnail for Chef

Chef is the epitome of the strong silent type. He is Chris' right hand man, which means that if it wasn't for Chef, nothing would ever get done. When he isn't running the camp, Chef enjoys silk robes and ice cream.
